Georgia News Network's John Clark met with us at Red Brick Brewing to discuss the historical aspects of the book, particularly that much of Atlanta's brewing past is not well known. The interview was provided in late September 2013 to GNN affiliates and can be heard by clicking the player below.

Leading up to the 6/6/2014 launch of Oakland Cemetery's guided walking tour "Malts and Vaults: Where Beer Meets History," the tour was reviewed by AJC writer Mark Davis in his online article Something brewing at Oakland and print article Tour Talks Graves and Growlers, published 6/2/2014. Explore Georgia reached readers in blog post, and Oakland's social media ambassadors were busy getting the word out. See our Malts and Vaults page for more details about the tour.
Rashan Ali of 11Alive's Atlanta & Co. After Noon conducted a live interview with us on 7/3/2014. She was very enthusiastic about beer, and we had the chance to talk about both the book and the Malts & Vaults tour at Historic Oakland Cemetery.
Atlanta Beer was reviewed in the July/August 2014 issue of the American Breweriana Journal. Perhaps our favorite comment in the review: "...the chapter on Prohibition may be the most fascinating part of the book." That was a tough chapter to write and the feedback on our treatment of Prohibition has been very positive. The journal is published by the American Breweriana Association, a non-profit organization tailored for beer historians and collectors.
On 8/12/2014, Ron and Mary held a more extensive discussion on Atlanta beer history with Leesia Champion on her global digital radio show "Take Your Seat." A version edited to remove sponsor breaks is available below.
